This type of Post is prominently featured on the business profile, making searchers aware of deals or special offers to encourage them to become customers. Offer Posts are more important than ever now that Google has rolled out some small but valuable changes to how these Posts are viewed.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><strong>Offer Posts More Visible Than Ever on Mobile\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When looking at a business profile in the Google Maps app, the Offer Post is now featured in a new and extremely prominent way: just below the business name, reviews, and today\u2019s hours. It\u2019s marked with a tag icon (a symbol associated with all Offer Posts). <\/span><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/whitespark.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/Map-App-GBP-Offer.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"\" height=\"\" \/><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Offer Posts can now also be found under the new \u201cDeals\u201d tab on mobile browsers.<\/span><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/whitespark.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/Offer-Posts-Deals-Via-Mobile-1.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"\" height=\"\" \/><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This was also confirmed by our fellow SEO, Claire Carlile.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><strong>Offer Posts Missing from Desktop Google Post Carousel<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Offer Posts published for many of our clients are no longer featured in the Google Post carousel view on Desktop. As you can see in the image below, the Offer Post, which was published between the two Posts in the carousel, is not visible unless you click to view all posts.<\/span><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/whitespark.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/Offer-Post-Blog-Edited-Content-1.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"\" height=\"\" \/><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The \u201cFrom the Owner\u201d section of the business profile in Maps does not feature Offer Posts, even if it was the most recent Google Post.<\/span><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/whitespark.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/The-From-the-Owner-section-features-an-Update-Post-which-was-posted-a-week-before-the-Offer-Post-on-the-right.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"\" height=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<h2><strong>What Might These Changes Mean? <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Our prediction is that Google is working on moving Offer Posts into its own tab separate from Google Post updates, similar to what happened with <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/whitespark.ca\/google-business-profile-guide\/products-services\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Product Posts<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. In the past, you were able to only post Products as a Google Post type. Today, Products have their own tab in the Google Business Profile dashboard as well as the Knowledge Panel, across all devices and apps.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Could this be the future of Offer Posts? Only time will tell, but it seems likely that Google is moving in this direction, especially since <a href=\"https:\/\/localu.org\/google-just-deprecated-the-follow-button-and-welcome-offer-on-google-maps\/\">following a Business Profile to get notified of new Offers<\/a> is a thing of the past.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To recap, our prediction is as follows:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Google Posts = Updates or \u201cFrom the Owner\u201d tab<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Product Posts = Products tab<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Offer Posts = Deals tab<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Do you think Google is working on pivoting Offer Posts to its own section?
